"People are afraid to pursue their most important dreams, because they feel that they don't deserve them, or that they'll be unable to achieve them."
....and she tried unlocking the lil trap door at the bottom of the tree. Suddenly, the door flew open and the strangest lil creature stood there, hands on hips, glaring at her....

Thoughts
It is strange that we try so hard to do things - to remember, to forget, to understand, to be understood. When I think about why we do this, it reminds me of the numerous conversations I have had with people. Why do we try so hard? What do we want?
Each one of us has our own agenda behind these strenuous attempts. Some of us try coz that is the only thing left to do. Some coz they think it will change their present, wipe away their past, mould their future in the way they want it. Some others do so coz they just feel like letting their river flow and create its path.
In our attempt to do things we may end up working against our own agendas. It’s like this – our mind is trained to do exactly what we don’t want it to do. A lot of people have written about this phenomenon. I would not wish to elaborate.
What do we do when our attempts do not produce the results that we desire? What is it that we truly desire? Do our attempts truly reflect our intentions? Do we know what our intentions are, all the time?
Is the hunter being hunted? Do we let ourselves believe that we are here by design and that we have been empowered to act, to create, to destroy? What is the purpose behind letting unequal beings into the same arena for a fight? If we have the power to do, to think, to feel then why don’t we have the power to foresee events and behavior all the time?
There is a sense of urgency and desperation in our need for control.
To quote what someone said – we are in a ship of fools.

Why?
I wonder why some things happen? They say that everything in this world happens for a reason. If that is the case, how do we justify all those horrendous acts that happen each day?Why am I caught in a vortex of unexplainable emotions at this point? Why?

Cats
i sometimes surprise myself. i hate cats. well, i know hate seems like a really strong word and all but thats how i feel about cats a lot of times. i guess it stems from a lot of factors. they look cute and they can make you feel like you are a princess sometimes. there are also times when they just do what they please and act like you don't exist and even if you do, it's not important.some time ago, i had this brown fur ball encroach on my private walk time. she would, yeah i found out it was a she, come up behind me and rub herself against my feet and come purring and begging me to pet her. she wouldn't give up though she sensed disinterest. no amount of chasing her helped my situation. i gave in and played with her for a while. she then sat back and watched me complete my walk. when i was done, she looked at me one last time and went away. never saw her again. strange things cats.
Eco friendly travel
as i glanced through the newspaper, i couldnt help but notice an article that spoke about people trying to stretch their travel time. using environment friendly travel means would help them enjoy the journey more than just reaching their destination. that made me think of our lives. i have heard so many people talk about enjoying every moment of your life without worrying about the end of it. in many ways, that makes sense. we get so engrossed in trying to reach our life's destinations that we miss out on the beauty of the journey that takes us there.
i have always loved train journeys more than any other means of traveling, with the exception of walking ofcourse. it reminds of my childhood days of sitting by train windows, gazing past the fields, crowded cities,no-network zones... actually it didnt matter where i sat, as long i could watch people, places whizz past me. it's a fascinating playground. the article said that as per calculations, trains consume 10kgs of carbon per passenger as opposed to 187kgs by plane and 313 kgs by car or vice versa...dont remember the numbers now and it doesnt matter too much. i was just happy to note that one of my fav modes of transport is also eco friendly.

Green
Green happens to be one of my favorite colors. To me it represents life - fresh, alive, bright, tender, warm, caring and benevolent. Well, so here i am talking green, feeling its freshness in a lot of things i do and wanting to share its benevolence with my fellow beings.
